Hi all, I am working on comparing the differences between using Revit to perform heating and cooling load calculations to the traditional method (in this office) of using Carriers HAP program. One discrepancy that has popped up is the weather data. I like that I can use any airport weather data that is in the data base for Revit, unfortunately I am required to weather data from the ASHRAE tables. In those tables, there are three different levels of accuracy. One for designing to meet the conditions for all but 2% of the time, 1% of the time, and 0.4% of the time. The weather data that is imported represents the 0.4% of the time which is most accurate. From an energy conservation point of view, we only want to design to with in the 1% range. This does allow for some days to be less comfortable, but 99% of the time the loads are well within range of the equipment. I do see that I can un-check the 'Use closest weather station' box, and manually plug in the numbers for each month. Short of replacing the weather data values for every project, is there an easy way to use the ASHRAE values for the 1% weather conditions?
